Power claimed his fourth win of the 2010 season at Toronto. He passed Justin Wilson for the lead just after a restart with 14 laps remaining. Power then held off Franchitti at the finish by 1.28 seconds.
From 1986 to 2007, the event on the streets of Toronto was sanctioned by Champ Car World Series (CART). Michael Andretti has the most wins here with seven.
Andretti's son, Marco, snapped a five-year winless streak in IndyCar at Iowa.
Twenty-six teams are on the preliminary entry list for the Honda Indy Toronto.
FORMULA ONE
Silverstone Circuit, located in Northamptonshire and Buckinghamshire, England, has been considered as the fastest circuit on the Formula One calendar since the mid-1980s, due to its high-speed corners.
The British GP is the oldest event on the F1 schedule.
There have been several back-to-back winners of the British GP, with Scotsman David Coulthard the last to do it from 1999-2000.
"The British Grand Prix is obviously one of the highlights of the calendar, as Silverstone is an extremely prestigious venue," Webber said. "There has been a lot of work done there in the past year, including the new pit complex which looks great. As proved in previous seasons, the characteristics of the circuit have suited us well. The test will remain if it's the same this time around. I'm looking to get a top result for everyone down the road at the [Red Bull] base in Milton Keynes."
"I'm really looking forward to Silverstone," said McLaren's Lewis Hamilton, who won in front of his home crowd during his championship season in 2008. "It's one of the best circuits in the world, and I really think that the arrival of DRS and KERS Hybrid will make this one of the best and most exciting British Grands Prix ever."
Vettel enters the British GP -- the ninth of 19 races this season -- with a very comfortable 77-point lead over Webber and McLaren's Jenson Button. Hamilton is 89 points behind the leader. Vettel has won six races so far this season, including the European Grand Prix the last month in Valencia, Spain.
Austin Dillon's lap at 173.410 mph earned him the outside pole.

New York, NY – October 3, 2007 – The dress rehearsal is over! The NHL preseason has ended and now that fans have had a glimpse of what is to come it is time to hit the book! Stanley Cup odds are live at MySportsbook.com, the world’s largest online sportsbook and casino.
The Ottawa Senators and Detroit Red Wings remain on top of the odds charts after an impressive start in the preseason. Betting lines opened for both teams at 6-1 in June. Since then the Sens have fallen to 7-1 and the Red Wings are now caught in a pack including the defending champion Carolina Hurricanes, the San Jose Sharks and the Anaheim Ducks, all at 10-1.
MySportsbook.com has also posted props on each team’s point total for the regular season. The Senators lead the charge at 108.5 followed by the Ducks at 106.5. Detroit will attempt a repeat for the prize as the Red Wings are deadlocked with the Predators at 104.5 a piece. The temporary loss of highly touted rookie Evgeni Malkin puts a lot of pressure on the stick of assistant captain Sidney Crosby - his lowly Pittsburgh Penguins are listed at 71.5.
Even if bettors are not brave enough to put their money on the underdog, an early bet on the favorites at sportsbook.com tends to produce bigger payouts than a mid-season wager. Placing a $1,000 bet last summer on the Detroit Red Wings or Ottawa Senators would have paid out to $8,000 and $10,000 respectively, opposed to a $2,500 or $3,000 payout at the beginning of the playoffs.
